Blogs vs. Wikis

Blogs and wikis are similar in a couple ways. They both are a way that people can communicate. Both can be used to get answers. Both can also be used to do projects or assignments. The difference between wikis and blogs is that in blogs you can only comment on the post. On wikis you can actually correct or write over any information that may be incorrect. On a wiki more than one person can work on a certain section. the importance of convergence is to keep the world united as it has been with new media. as new media evolves, it opens the doors to new opportunities for communication both work wise and socially. Blogs can be used as collaborations by posting something about a particular subject and have people comment with their ideas on the particular comment. A new way a wiki can be used is to let people know of different rememdies for a particular illness like the common cold or a fever.
